Altus Engineering, Inc. was established in 1995 to provide innovative and cost-effective solutions for environmental, utility, and site projects. We provide a variety of services to municipal and private sector clients throughout northern New England. Altus Engineering takes great pride in its staff, work product, and clientele satisfaction.

A principal will always work directly on the project in contrast to larger firms where there can be several layers of management between the designer and the principals. Altus Engineering has three principals and a total staff of seven. We have five registered professional engineers on staff. Our hands-on approach and highly qualified professional staff provides efficient designs and seamless project management. We are able to provide engineering services at low cost because our efficiency and management system allows the billing rate for principals to be that typically used for project engineers / project managers at larger firms.

The principals at Altus Engineering offer many years of experience in the design and construction phases of multi-million dollar construction projects. This experience provides valuable insight to identify site-related permit and design issues early in the conceptual stages of the project. Resolution of site issues before final design reduces the client's cost exposure. During the preliminary and final design stages, we continue to explore design solutions that will yield the best construction value. Experience has shown that where a disciplined approach is used to fine tune engineering designs, significant reductions in both construction cost and schedule are realized.

Altus Engineering, Inc. and our clientele recognize that many projects require specialized expertise. To compliment our expertise, we have associations with firms providing specialized services in such areas as land surveying, photogrammetry, hydrogeology, mechanical and electrical engineering, landscape architecture, and geotechnical services. Our professional associations provide clients with maximum value by utilizing individuals who perform these tasks daily. Using specialty firms, Altus Engineering, Inc. is able to provide the services of larger multi-disciplinary firms at costs reflecting our lower overhead rates.
